According to party leaders, the 11th conference of the New Mon State Party will be held in the third week of December in the Yechaunghpyar area, where the party headquarters is located.
Representatives from various departments have already been selected to attend the conference.
“At this conference, political discussions are not on the agenda. The official plan is to elect central committee members from various sectors, including six new members, I haven’t been provided further details yet,” stated a member of the party’s central committee.
The upcoming conference aims to elect members, representing sectors such as youth, women, education, health, and technology.
“I believe the political policy position will stay consistent with the past. However, it depends on the discussions during the conference. Regarding the policy, it’s solely centered around the party conference,” stated the member of the central committee.
The Party Conference is scheduled to take place in the third week of December and run for one month. However, if the political situation changes, the conference may be rescheduled.
During the last 10th conference, nine members of the central executive committee attended, including party chairman Nai Hongsa, vice chairman Nai Aung Min, general secretary Nai Zaya, joint secretary Nai Win Hla, and members Nai Aye Mon, Nai Laye Kakao, Nai Banyar Lae, Nai Aung Mangay, and Nai Banyar Mae San.
At the 10th Party Conference in 2019, nine Central Executive Committee members, 33 Central Committee members, and five Auxiliary Central Committee members were unanimously elected at the Party Central Headquarters.
For the New Mon State Party, the party conference is convened every four years, and the party leadership is determined through an election held every four years.
