A Military Council Heavy Weapon bullet fell and injured 3 local people In Kawkareik

In Kawkareik Township, Kamine Khone Village, Karen State, 2 women, and 1 man were injured due to the explosion of motor shells fired by the military junta, SAC’s local battalion.

On June 9th, at around 9:30 p.m., the Hlaingwa Artillery Corps fired two 120 mm motor shells into Kamine Khone village on purpose, ‌according to the KNU authorities from Dupalaya District.

According to the report, 42-year-old Daw Hmyu Lone from Kamine Khone village was seriously injured in the right ear, 32-year-old Kyaw Min Tun was injured in the left abdomen, and Nan Sa Hmyu Than, 29, was injured in the left thigh.

According to the local residents, the military junta troops bombarded the villages in Kawkareik township with aerial bombardments and fired with heavy weapons.

Last June 7, a motor shell fired by the military junta troops in Hlaigwa Khone near Kawkareik town exploded on a house in Ywathanshay village, killing a 12-year-old child, and injuring his 43-year-old mother and 4-year-old sister.

On June 6, the military junta’s airstrike force bombarded Sanphalar village, Kudon village, Kawkareik township, damaging a primary school, 4 houses, and local gardens.

The KNU Dupalaya District also announced that schools, religious buildings, homes and public parks were destroyed due to the military council’s aerial bombardment and heavy weaponry in residential villages.
