Six People, Including Children Injured Due to  Heavy Weapons Explosion

According to local residents, a shell exploded on a house in Kyaikhto Township, Kyaikhto Township, Mon State, injuring 6 people, including children.

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on May 31, an explosion occurred in the residence of U Tun Aye, in Hlelanku village.

U Saw Tun (30 years old), Myint Myat Linn (13 years old), and Daw Win Sandar Myint (30 years old), sustained injuries from a heavy weapon shell hitting the house.

Tun Tun Lin (37 years old), Yonn Yadi Tun (6 years old), and Mg Thein Pyat Soe San (15 years old), were also injured in the attack, and were transported to Kyaikhto Public Hospital.

“I don’t know where the weapon came from. One of them exploded in the house and it hit all the children and adults,” said a resident of Kyaikhto.

The Military Council’s Telegram channel claimed the heavy weapons were fired by the joint forces of KNLA and PDF. However, the joint forces of KNLA and PDF have disputed the SAC Military Council’s claim..

On the evening of May 3rd, in War Dat Kwin Village, Kyaikhto Township, Theinzayat Township, local residents reported that four people, including two children, were injured as a result of an explosion caused by a shell fired by the SAC Military Council.
