Weapons fire at the White Bridge Gate in Ye Township, in response to military killing democracy activists

-

The Mon State-based Revolutionary Organization (MSRO), fired weapons at  the White Bridge checkpoint of Ye Township on the Ye-Dawei Motorway  around 7am on July 27th.

The MSRO fired weapons at the bridge gate, reported a local resident.  “There were no injuries, and no one seems to have been taken to the hospital”, said the local.

A 22-second video was posted on social media showing two plainclothes gunmen standing at a distance and walking towards the White Bridge Gate with guns firing.

The MSRO issued a statement that said that the attack was a “blood debt for fallen revolutionary soldiers including Ko Jimmy and Ko Phyo Zoya Thaw.”

Strict security measures have now been put in place at the entrances and exits of the city.

Also on June 27 at the top of the Asin Village Bridge in Ye Township, five militiamen were shot at by the Ye Blue Group and 3 guns were taken.

On July 19, the Ye Blue Group shot at security forces on the bridge over the Ye-Khaung Taung River. There were no reports of casualties from that incident.
