Mon State faced 25 deaths from COVID-19 confirmed on Sunday, July 18, 2021, alone, according to Rescue groups in the state.
“On average, 10 deaths are confirmed per day. Well, it is like it may be 9 deaths today but another day, it will be 11 deaths. Yesterday (on Saturday), it counted up to 25 deaths,” said a person in charge of Mawlamyine Social Rescue Group.
According to the Ministry of Health and Sport, on July 16 and July 17, Mon State had 20 deaths each day.
It’s reportedly stated that till July 18, Mon State confirmed nearly 4,000 COVID-19 cases, and most cases were found in Mawlamyine, Thanbyuzayat and Thaton townships.
