The Administrator of HnintSone Village, Ye Township, in Mon State, known as U Saw Win Soe Myint, was taken by an unknown armed group on the night of June 27, and later the same evening was killed.
“It was at night when two unknown men came to his house and took him away. The next morning, we saw his dead body on the side of the highway road,” said a villager.
U Saw Win Soe Myint, aged 53, was a member of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP). He was shot in his head and found dead beside the highway of Ye-Thanbyuzayat road in the morning June 28, 2021.
On April 5, the Administrator of Marm Aung Village, Ye Township, was also killed.
Since February 1, 2021.after the military took the power, there are reports of roughly 20 ward and village administrators, who have been accused of serving as informats to the army, have been killed.
