Mudon police seized 106 meth tablets from a household in MyoMa-4, on the evening of December 13.
Police raided the home of Jalar (aka) Aung Khant Htoo who lives in the Htake Gone Quarter, 16 Cherry Street, MyoMa -4 in Mudon Town. Police found a knife, and a bag with 66 meth pills embossed in pink with the WY logo, 38 pills embossed with an R logo, also pink in color, and 2 pills with the R logo but in a green color. Police seized a total of 106 meth tablets.
“We are arresting him after we received a tip, and it is our national duty to deal with the drug issues. Over the past year, our station has responded to 90 drug related crimes. We will continue the raids and arrests,” said Deputy Chief of Police Aung Myo Tun at Mudon Town Police Station.
Jalar(aka) Aung Khant Htoo, aged 39 is a known drug trafficker. He was arrested by the Mudon Township Police Station, and charged under Section 19 (K)/ 20(K)/22 (Kh) of the Criminal Procedure Code MY(P) 90/2020.
“It is good seizing the drugs and it is better to get the big one. Although it is not enough for the whole country, I’m very happy when our town will be a no-drug zone. We will make more arrests, more cases and seize more illegal drugs,” said Ko Tun Maung, a resident of Mudon.
According to police records in 2020, 90 drug cases were made by the Mudon Town Police Force and 58 cases by the KaMarWet Police.
