A truck driver was killed, and a woman was injured in a shooting on the Yaungdaung- Kunhlar road in Mudon Township, Mon State.
The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. on April 4th, when local resistance fighters attacked two military vehicles. Fighting lasted for about 30 minutes.
At that time, a truck carrying fish paste was passing through the area. The driver was hit by a bullet and died at the scene. A woman with him was injured.

“They heard gunfire for about half an hour. After the shooting, rescue vehicles went toward Mawlamyine,” a local resistance said.
The dead driver was identified as U Aung Thu Win, 35 years old, from North Okkalapa Township.
Traffic was blocked for a short time, but vehicles were able to pass later the same day.
It is unknown, at this time, if either the resistance forces or military forces suffered casualties.
Fighting often happens along this section of roadway, between the military junta and the New Mon State Party (Anti-Military Dictatorship), including other resistance groups.
