Airstrikes Hit Maw Taung Twice in One Day, Damaging Houses

The military junta carried out two airstrikes in a single day in Maw Taung town, Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region, damaging some civilian houses, according to the Karen National Union (KNU) Myeik-Dawei District.

On April 26, at around 11 a.m., a military junta jet fighter dropped four 250-pound bombs on Maw Taung Ward No. (1) in the first attack.

Later, at around 1 p.m., the military junta carried out a second airstrike, dropping two more 250-pound bombs on Maw Taung Ward No. (9).

According to a statement from the KNU Myeik-Dawei District, two civilian houses were damaged as a result of the airstrikes.
