Passenger Vehicle Caught Fire in Kyaikto Township

According to social rescue groups, a passenger vehicle caught fire on the Kyaikto-Kim Moon camp road near Peinhne Myaung, Kyaikto township, Mon State, around 4:00 p.m. on February 11th.

An official from the Kyaikto Township Fire Department reported that they, along with the Kyaik Htee Yoe Mountain Vehicle Association’s water tanker and the social assistance team, extinguished the fire around 4:20 p.m.

“It is considered that the fire started from the overheating of the engine room. There were no injuries in the passenger car fire,” he added.

According to the Kyaikto township fire department, the entire passenger vehicle was destroyed by the fire.

On the evening of last January 19, a fire broke out in the west of a truck driving from Mawlamyine to Yangon on Kyaikto township, Kyaikto bypass road.
