-

According to local residents, from Alu Village, Bilin Township, Mon State,  two civilians were injured and three houses were destroyed due to the  firing of heavy weapons by the SAC military council troops.

On May 6, around 9:00 p.m. the troops stationed in the Allon foothills fired at least 8 rounds of heavy weapons onto Alu village.

U Nay Myo Kyaw and his wife Daw Khin San Ri were hit by  heavy weapons fire and were seriously injured, and three homes were also damaged, according to local residents.

“Two weapons hit the village. Some houses were also damaged,” said a resident.

The husband and wife were transported to Thaton District Public Hospital through the Bilin Township Hospital.

Heavy weapons firing on the village occurs almost every night, forcing residents to flee.

Last April, at least 11 local residents were injured and at least 8 homes were damaged when SAC military council troops fired heavy weapons onto Alu village.
