A total of 12 student unions based in Mon State are urging the New Mon State Party (NMSP) not to collaborate with the State Administration Council (SAC). The  student unions released a 5-point statement that was sent to the NMSP on June 1, 2021.

The statement urges the NMSP not to collaborate or negotiate with the military council (or SAC) which has been killing the people daily.  The student unions call on the NMSP to announce they will stand with the public in opposition to the military council

It also requested the NMSP unveil its political roadmap, and to help those fighting against the dictatorship.  Specifically the statement called for the NMSP “ To help and look after as best as possible, fethnic peoples in the state while working for  a federal union.”

The students unions said they will work for the success of the revolution, and promised the NMSP they would support any organizations that stand with the public.
