IMNA: The Mudon Township Election Commission (TEC) has begun to count the votes. The TEC was seen carrying three bags: one for the People’s Assembly, one for the National Assembly, and one for the Region/State Assembly. All three bags, along with the bag of pre-votes from Mudon were mixed together in one bag and counted at the Township Peace and Development Council (TPDC) office.

Pre-votes were comprised by government staff and the army. Yesterday, November 7th, police came by the Village Peace and Development Council (VPDC) offices in Mudon Township to ask for an estimate on how many people were voting and which parties were getting what number of votes.

Villagers in Kyone Paik village, Nyaung gone village, Paing kama village, Kawparan village, Katonepow villlage, Ba lough, and Naung winevillage, all in Mudon Township have reported being pressured by polling booth commissioners, who would stand at their side while they voted and pressure them to vote for the United Solidarity and Development Party (USDP). This was reported by an All Mon Regions Democracy Party (AMDP) member and party organizer who received the information through a network of observers at the polling stations.
