Strong winds struck Taungpa Village, Mudon Township, Mon State, around 3:00 a.m. on August 2, causing damage to a school and 13 houses, according to local sources.
“There is no rain. Not every house was destroyed. Just some houses and shops were damaged. A tree fell and landed on the roof of one house, but no one was injured” said a member of the social relief force.
Heavy rain and strong winds occurred across Mon State, causing damage to buildings in Thanphyuzayat, Mudon, and Thadon.
