IMNA : In Thanphyuzayart Township, less than half the number of eligible voters are heading to the polling booth stations, according to an IMNA field reporter.
The reporter said that before noon, voters have been sparse at the polling booth stations.
“It is been infrequent since 6 am in the morning, though a few came around 9 am. It was not crowded at all. Just silent,” a Thanphyuzayart resident.
Most Mons in Thanphyuzayart have reported voting for the All Mon Regions Democracy Party (AMDP), but many Burmese have professed confusion as whether or not to vote for the Mon party, already not wanting to vote United Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) or the National Unity Party.
So far, the USDP has received many of the pre-vote from government staff members and their families, and residents with no connection to the political parties in Thanphyuzayart.
