Mon State’s 27th confirmed case of Covid-19 has recovered and been released from Mawlamyine General Hospital having passed two tests to determine if the infection remained. The patient is now clean of the virus.
Patient #27 has a message for everyone, based on the experience with the virus, and that is, stay at home in order not to get infected. “…the food provided here is very good. The public should stay well and should eat well. To avoid this kind of infection, the public should not move around much. They should stay at home. This [will help stop the spread of the] virus. I am happy to get released from the hospital [after being in quarantine for] 28 days,” said patient # 27.
The patient will now spend an additional two weeks in home quarantine in Kyaikmayaw Township. The health department will continue to regularly monitor the patient’s situation, according to Dr. Kyaw Myint, Head of Mawlamyine General Hospital, Mon State.
“This is a home quarantine situation. She must stay at home and should not go out. We will check as necessary two weeks from now. The patient received treatment as instructed by the Ministry. Specialized doctors monitored and checked regularly,” said Dr. Kyaw Myint.
