Revolutionary forces under the Tactics 35 Command of the Tanintharyi Regional Military Administration have restricted travel along the Myeik–Tanintharyi–Bokepyin road following intensified clashes with junta troops in Tanintharyi Township.
The restriction, which took effect on October 28, aims to protect civilians as fighting in the region continues to escalate.

“The current situation is unstable and dangerous for travelers. For their safety, people are urged to avoid using the road for now,” the command said in its statement.
Residents have been warned to stay off the main highway connecting Myeik, Tanintharyi, and Bokepyin until further notice.
Fighting has reportedly intensified in Tanintharyi Township, where Tactics 35 operates, as junta forces engage in heavy clashes with local revolutionary groups.
According to the statement, the junta’s Coastal Regional Military Command and Operation Control Command No. 13 (MOC-13) have been conducting airstrikes, naval attacks, and mortar shelling, targeting not only combat zones but also civilian areas.
The junta has also been accused of using major roads for troop reinforcements and supply transport, while establishing checkpoints to conduct unlawful searches and extortion. Reports allege that junta forces have confiscated property, made arbitrary arrests, and forcibly recruited young people under the guise of security operations.
