Allied resistance forces launched an attack on a militia group stationed in Min Thar village, Kanbauk area, Yebyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, according to resistance sources.
The assault took place around 7:30 a.m. on April 20, when the joint resistance forces stormed the militia base in the village.
During the clash, six militia members were killed and seven others were wounded, according to a statement from the resistance side. Three members of the resistance forces also sustained minor injuries.
The operation was carried out by a coalition of groups, including the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), the Kanbauk Defence Force (KBDF) Column 3 under the People’s Defence Force (PDF), Battalion 1 of the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF), the New Mon State Party (Anti-Military Dictatorship) (NMSP-AD), the Dawei National Liberation Army (DNLA), and Battalion 27 of Brigade 6 under the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA).
