Column 3 of the Daw Na Army has formed a military alliance with revolutionary armed groups from the Mon, Karen, and Tanintharyi regions to counter military operations in the area.

The allied revolutionary groups include Daw Na Army Column 3 (Battalion 27), the New Mon State Party (Anti-Dictatorship), the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), ABSDF Battalion 1, and the Dawei Nationalities Liberation Army (DNLA). On the morning of April 17, these groups held a meeting and officially agreed to cooperate.
“As everyone knows, there is a lack of unity in the Tanintharyi Region. However, we’re seeing efforts by relevant battalions and units in the Dawei District to work together and achieve success. That’s why, here in Yebyu Township, we have joined forces with the revolutionary groups and ethnic armed organizations based in the area to intensify and carry out the necessary military operations. There are plans to launch operations between the northern part of Yebyu and the township itself,” said a soldier named Alarwa, spokesperson for the Kanpauk-based revolutionary force.
In addition, the alliance aims to establish mutual coordination between Mon and Karen armed groups and the People’s Defence Forces (PDF), as well as to provide necessary support to one another.
It has been learned that the allied revolutionary forces have already begun military operations in the Kanpauk area of Yebyu Township, specifically within the Minthar village tract.
