Flooding in Parts of Ye Township

-

Due to continuous heavy rainfall and water runoff from streams, some neighborhoods in Ye Township, Mon State, began to flood around 12:30 PM on July 24, according to local residents.

The flooding has affected several areas, including Yan Myo Aung, Mya Thida Market (Riverside Market), and the low-lying neighborhoods of Aung Tukha, Aung Minglar, and Aung Misttar.

“Water is entering beneath houses, and the water level is rising near the riverside market and other low-lying areas,” said a resident of Ye Township.

Similarly, heavy rainfall has caused flooding in low-lying areas and some villages in Mawlamyine, Thanbyuzayat, Chaungzon, and Mudon Townships.
