Dhammassa Village Engulfed in Flames After Military Junta Fires Mortar Shell

In Dhammassa village, located in Kyaikmaraw township, Mon state, a mortar shell fired by the Junta navy exploded, igniting the houses at approximately 4:00 pm on March 27.

The blaze proved uncontrollable as villagers were fleeing the conflict, receiving limited assistance from firefighting services, which struggled to reach the scene promptly.

As a result of the explosion, over 70 percent of the village’s houses were consumed by the fire.
