Ye City Police Chief and Two Policemen were Shot by Ye Bluu PDF Group

Ye Bluu Armed Group, a local people defense force (PDF), announced that they shot and killed a Station Police Chief and two policemen from Ye City Police Station, Ye township, in Mon State.

On November 23, at around 8:25 in the morning, the Police Chief of Ye City police station, and two policemen were shot dead on the Ye-Dawei road near No. 19 Military Command based in Ye town.

Ye Bluu Armed Group also announced that some weapons and documents were seized during the shooting of the Ye township’s Police Chief and his followers.

“The Station Police Chief and his team were shot near No. 19th Command. The weapons that were seized were an M16 A1, a revolver held by police chief, and some documents. We have been following that Station Police Chief for a long time, and at around 8:25 today, 3 people, including the Police Chief, were wiped out by our group,” said the leader of Ye Bluu Armed Group.

According to local residents, after police chief and his team in Ye town were shot dead, they are conducting roadblock checks on the Ye-Dawei highway, and strict inspections are also being carried out in Ye township.

“The road is also being inspected. They are also checking on the city. It’s best not to do traffic during this time,” said a resident.

Last September 30, the Ye Bluu Armed Group shot and killed the Khawzar Town police officers and two policemen. In addition, on September 21, the local police of Lamaing town were also shot dead by their group.

The Ye Bluu Armed Group frequently shoots and cleans up Burmese troops in Ye Township, and frequently attacks departmental offices, police stations, and checkpoints.

In addition, ward administrators, civilian employees, and SAC informers are often shot and killed.

Ye Bluu Armed Group also announced that it will terminate all SAC informers, and also announced that the Township government officials and employees who did not involve in Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) should resign.

The SAC Council has issued an arrest warrant to Ye Bluu Armed Group and announced that it will offer a reward to informers, who can provide concrete information.
