Three soldiers, Including a major, killed when a SAC military truck was shot in Thatdon Township

In Win Sein Village, Thaton Township, Mon State, a SAC military truck, which illegally arrested people, were shot at around 5:30 a.m. on 10th November, three soldiers including a major killed, according to the statement of Thaton People’s Defense Force (PDF).

The military council truck that was illegally arresting and transporting the people was suspicious and stopped and shot, according to the Thadon People’s Defense Force.

During the incident, three soldiers, including the No. 9 Military Training Battalion, Deputy Battalion Commander, Major Chit Win Thu, were killed and one person was injured and escaped.

Three weapons were seized from the car that was shot at, and illegally arrested people were also freed, according to a statement from the Thaton People’s Defense Force.

The Thadon People’s Defense Forces issued a statement that Major Chit Win, who was shot and died, was one of the main participants in the burning of Thon Bo Lay village in Thon Township and the activists are the ones who arrest young people unjustly, distribute and sell drugs.

Last October, the Thaton People’s Defense Force also shot and killed Border Police Corporal Aung Win Tun of Za Ma Twe Village, a Thaton Township’s prison warden.

In addition to frequent shootings between the SAC’s Burmese Army and the PDF in Thaton Township, military trucks were also frequently shot at.
