A military airstrike carried out by Myanmar’s military junta in KNU-controlled Myeik–Dawei District has damaged a civilian home, according to local sources.
The attack occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 26 in Kasado (Thayetchaung) Township, near a football field on the eastern bank of Phaung Taw village. Military jets reportedly dropped two bombs during the strike.
One residential house in the area sustained damage as a result of the bombing. No casualties were immediately reported.
The Karen National Union (KNU) stated that the military junta has been deliberately conducting aerial attacks in KNU-administered areas with the intention of instilling fear among local civilian populations.
