-

According to U San Pe, Vice Chair of the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA) which is based in Mong La, the NDAA will cooperate with the State Administration Council (SAC) to promote regional and national stability.

SAC, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with a delegation from the NDAA at the military headquarters in the border-based Triangle Region.

Following that meeting, a statement was released where U San Pe stated, “We have not accepted any armed or political organizations in our region. We will cooperate on efforts for regional and national peace and stability. We want the military council to support and provide necessary guidance for our region.”

He added that the NDAA continues to prioritize the three responsibilities it has upheld for over 30 years: preserving the Union, maintaining ethnic unity, and ensuring stable self-administration in line with national policies.

During the meeting, the junta leader claimed they were working to establish a genuine, disciplined multi-party democracy and a federal union system. He urged all ethnic groups to work together in unity for the country’s benefit.

He further emphasized the importance of continuing peace and stability efforts and said that for a region or country to develop, it is essential to cultivate an abundance of skilled human resources.

The NDAA controls Special Region 4, also known as the Mong La area, the districts of Mong La, Nanban, and Sele in the easternmost part of Shan State which is along the Myanmar–China border.
