Asah : In Mudon Township, Mon State: there has been tightened security with soldiers guarding the polling booths along with police and members of the Military Affairs Security Unit (Sa Ya Pha in Burmese).
The polling booth station set up at the high school is also supervised by army personnel, but so far there have been no threats.
In Kyaik Baran village, Kyaikmayaw Township, AMRDP candidates have not been allowed to wear their party seals before entering the polling stations.
In Sarm Hlie Mon village, Hpa-an Township, is also experiencing smooth elections in terms of security threats.
