A Bridge in Bilin Township Detonated

According to local residents, a bridge on the Bilin-Hpapun highway in Bilin Township, Mon State, was destroyed by a mine on the morning of March 6.

The bridge (6/18), located near Phathar village approximately 18 miles from Bilin Township, was detonated around 6:00 a.m. on March 6.

Phathar Bridge, a reinforced concrete structure spanning 120 feet in length and 24 feet in width, was completely destroyed by the mine explosion, rendering it impassable for vehicles, as reported by local residents.

On the morning of February 28, demining operations were still ongoing at the Mogaung Bridge on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway in Thaton Township.
