According to local residents, the joint revolutionary forces attacked the police stations in Ahnin village and Htinshu village in Thanpyuzayat Township, Mon State, on the morning of January 31st.

During the battle, the military junta side fired heavy weapons as well as an aircraft attack, according to the local residents.
Additionally, military junta battalions based in Thanpyuzayat and Ye townships are also firing mortar shells.
As a result of the fighting, local residents have also fled to safety, and some are trapped inside the village.
The fighting continued until about 2:00 p.m. During the conflict, according to local residents, a woman from Ahnin village was injured by a bullet in her leg, and at least five houses were damaged.
