School and Homes Destroyed by Air Strikes in Kawkareik Township

The Karen National Union (KNU)  Dupalaya District announced that a primary school and four houses were damaged from the  SAC Military Council Air Force dropping bombs onto San Phalar Village, Kawkareik Township, Karen State.

At 1:46 a.m. on June 6, San Phalar village was bombed by an aircraft from the Nay Pyi Taw Air Force.

The explosion resulted in extensive damage to the San Phalar village school campus.

A total of 11 bombs were dropped and 10 exploded in the field,  west of the school. One bomb exploded between a sugarcane plantation and a betel leaf farm. Numerous coconut and betel nut trees were also damaged. 

The KNU Dupalaya District said that schools, religious buildings, homes, and public parks were destroyed as a result of the military council’s aerial bombardment and use of heavy weapons targeting residential villages.
