After the attack on the police station and bridge checkpoint in Chaung Hnit Kwa village, Kyaikmayaw Township, Mon State, thousands of local residents are fleeing because the military council is attacking with aerial bombardment.

According to local residents, the KNLA joint group raided the police station and bridge checkpoint in Chaung Hnit Kwa village at around 5:30 in the morning on November 12 and set the police station on fire.

According to local residents, after the police station and bridge checkpoint were raided, an aerial bombardment began at around 7:00 am.

Due to the aerial bombardment by the military council, thousands of local residents from the village of Chaung Hnit Kwa and nearby villages have fled to safety.

“After the attack on the police station, bombs were dropped by two planes, so no one dared to stay in the village. Almost the entire village fled, and I have not heard of any casualties,” said Chaung Hnit Kwa, a resident.

During the attack on the Chaung Hnit Kwa police station and the bridge checkpoint, some police officers were killed and some people were arrested, but there is no independent confirmation yet.

The Chaung Hnit Kwa Police Station and the Bridge Checkpoint Station have been attacked at least three times this year, killing at least 6 policemen and BGF soldiers and injuring others.
