One person was killed and two others were injured in a car accident that occurred in front of the administration office on the Yangon-Mawlamyine road.
The accident happened on July 31 at around 1:00 p.m.
A motorcycle driven by Skit (36) from Beilin Township struck Daw Myint Myint Win (53) of Pha Yar Gyi Road, Kyaik Kaw Ward who was crossing the road.
The motorcycle then collided head on with another vehicle driven by Ko Phyo Zaw Oo (36) of Bilin Township. Skit died as a result of the collision, according to the official of Aye Mya Phyu Zin Social Relief Association.
“As soon as we arrived, we put him on the bed and sent him directly to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, doctors and nurses came to see him and he was in a bad condition,” said the representative from the Relief Association.
He added that a woman passenger riding on the motorcycle suffered bruises but was not seriously injured. She was also sent to the Thaton Township Public Hospital.
Last July 27, a man was killed in a motorcycle and car collision that occurred in front of the 2500 monastery in Maung Sein Ward, on the Mawlamyine-Ye main road, in Thanphyuzayat Township.
