According to a local resident, a man was injured by a bomb explosion that occured near the new monastery in Mudon township, Mon state, in the morning of July 27.

The bomb explosion occurred at 9:00 a.m.
A resident of the Kyaung Thit district said, “just in the morning, a car was hit by a bomb near the Kyaung Thit monastery, and the person who was driving, suffered a leg injury”.
The Mudong People’s Protection Group claimed on their website that they detonated the bomb and where targeting the vehicle, because it was carrying Mudon military security troops.
It is not yet confirmed if military security troops were in the vehicle.
Residents report that security forces are blocking the entrances and exits of Mudong since the bomb blast .
On May 6, a bomb was also exploded at the administration office of Ward 4, in Mudon Township.
