According to party members, preliminary results from the Phase two election held on January 11, in five townships show that the Mon Unity Party, which contested under the First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) system, has taken the lead in four townships.
Phase Two of the election was held in Bilin, Paung, Mudon, Thanbyuzayat, and Ye townships in Mon State, and the Mon Unity Party (MUP) won 10 candidates in four townships.
Preliminary Results of Phase Two Election:

In Bilin Township, the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) won all three parliamentary seats under the First-Past-the-Post system. The winning candidates were Dr Khin Maung Thwin for the Pyithu Hluttaw, Daw Yin Min Htike for the Amyotha Hluttaw, and U Kyaw Zayar Min for the State Hluttaw.
In Paung Township, under the First-Past-the-Post system, Mon Unity Party (MUP) Pyithu Hluttaw candidate U Bo Win and State Hluttaw candidate U Than Khaing won their seats, while Amyotha Hluttaw candidate Daw Aye Chan Mone from the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) won the vote.
In Mudon Township, the Mon Unity Party (MUP) won all three parliamentary seats under the First-Past-the-Post system. The winning candidates were U Wunna Gyi for the Pyithu Hluttaw, U Htay Naing (Nai Awn Soe) for the State Hluttaw, and U Khin Maung Htwe (Min Saw Noal) for the Amyotha Hluttaw.
A total of 100 polling stations were opened in Mudon Township. The MUP received 31,943 votes for the Pyithu Hluttaw, 33,728 votes for the Amyotha Hluttaw, and 33,714 votes for the State Hluttaw, according to preliminary results.
In Thanbyuzayat Township, under the First-Past-the-Post system, candidates won all three parliamentary seats. The winners were U Than Shwe for the Pyithu Hluttaw, U Khin Maung Htwe (also known as Min Saw Noal) for the Amyotha Hluttaw, and U Shwe Luu for the State Hluttaw.
In Ye Township, under the First-Past-the-Post system, the Mon Unity Party (MUP) won all three parliamentary seats. The winners were Daw Myint Than for the Pyithu Hluttaw, Nai Chan Twic for the Amyotha Hluttaw, and Mi Lawi Hun for the State Hluttaw.
In Phase One of the election held in Mon State, candidates from the Mon Unity Party (MUP) won two seats in the Pyithu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw across five townships, as confirmed by the Union Election Commission (UEC).
In addition, party members and election observers are still watching how parliamentary seats will be allocated under the proportional representation (PR) system. The Mon Unity Party candidates include Dr Banyae Aung Moe, Min Aung Htoo, Nai Khin Maung Zin (also known as Nai Layi Tama), Nai San Tin, and Mi Yi Yi Pyone.
