Heavy rainfall in Mon State’s Bilin Township has caused the Bilin River to rise, leading to flooding in some low-lying areas starting from the evening of July 25, according to local residents and rescue groups.
The river reached a concerning level of 1,022 centimeters, and as of 6:30 PM today, the water level had risen to 1,055 centimeters.
Due to the rising river, some low-lying neighborhoods in Bilin Township have been inundated, and approximately 80 people have been temporarily relocated.
