According to the school registration statistics released by the State Department of Education, there has been an increase of more than 5,000 students enrolled in schools in the 2023-2024 academic year in Mon State.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, there were 313,250 school enrollees in Mon State, while this academic year there are 318,400 school enrollees.
According to a person close to the State Department of Education, the number of school enrollments in this academic year has increased significantly in only one township, while other township’s enrollment rates remain normal.
“It’s not too different from last year. It’s obvious that school enrollment has increased in Ye Township. The rest of the townships are normal,” he said.
Last academic year, there were roughly 29,000 school enrollments in Ye Township, and this year the number has reached 34,992.
A total of 318,400 students are enrolled in schools across several townships for the current academic year. The distribution of students is as follows:
