The Department of State Land Transportation Directive Office or KhaNyaNa in Mon State’s Mawlamyine Capital is offering registration for non-license/non-registered motorbikes.

The fee for registration is much less than previous years. It has been reduced to between 3-5 Lakh Kyat, according to a motorbike license service agent.
“In the past, we had to pay 12 Lakh Kyat but now it is only 9 Lakh. So, the people rushed here for the registration. It’s been busy days and nights, many local people have come for this service. This will only be available for a limited time, so everyone has to hurry to take advantage of the opportunity, “ said the registration agent.
There are 677 motorbikes that do not have a licence registration according to Daw Theingi Hto, who works at Mon State Land Transportation Directive Department.
“I am not sure whether they will reduce the price or not in the future. For now the fee for the registration has been reduced …,” said Daw Theingi Hto.
Except for the government holidays, every day from September 7 to 12 motorcycle drivers will be able to apply for registration at KaNyaNa offices according to the Land Transportation Directive Department in Naypyitaw.
