The Mon University Students Network- Thailand (MUSN) plans to offer an online Diploma in English to support Mon youth preparing for higher education.
The decision was made during a Fresher Welcome event and annual meeting held on March 14 by Mon youth studying at universities in Thailand and the Mon University Students Network- Thailand (MUSN).
“We are planning to open a Diploma course for Mon youth within this year. The aim is not only to teach the four skills, but also to provide the preparation needed for university at a diploma level. The course will be conducted online. Details such as the schedule and start date will be announced on our page after discussions with the teachers,” said a male official from MUSN.
The course will teach English from basic to advanced levels and will also help connect students with higher education opportunities in Thailand.
A Mon student preparing to attend a university in Thailand said, “Courses like this are helpful for students like us who are planning to go to university. They help improve our English skills, and we don’t have to worry about financial difficulties. Also, knowing the requirements of different universities gives us a step ahead.”
At the March 14 meeting, it was also planned to hold a monthly online discussion for educational exchange among students studying at various universities in Thailand.
“This educational exchange will mainly focus on education and ethnic issues. We also plan to invite Mon Business leaders to join and share their perspectives,” a MUSN official said.
The Mon University Students Network (MUSN) is a network formed to strengthen connections among Mon youth studying in Thailand and to expand educational opportunities.
Although MUSN was established in 2023, its activities were temporarily paused due to students’ academic commitments and time constraints, and were resumed more actively in 2025.
