In Mon State, 10,500 students sat for the first day of the 2026 university entrance examination.
According to sources close to the State Education Office, among the 10,542 students sitting for this year’s university entrance examination, 965 are from Kyaikto Township, 701 from Bilin Township, 859 from Thaton Township, 774 from Paung Township, 2,974 from Mawlamyine Township, 677 from Chaungzon Township, 322 from Kyaikmaraw Township, 1,501 from Mudon Township, 1,142 from Thanbyuzayat Township and 627 from Ye Township.
The university entrance examination, which started on March 11th, is being conducted at 30 exam centres across Mon State.
According to records from the State Education Office, the number of students sitting for this year’s matriculation examination has increased compared to last year.
The university entrance examination will be held from March 11th to 17th. More than 260,000 students are taking the 2026 university entrance examination at 890 exam centres nationwide.
