A major from the New Mon State Party (Anti-Military Dictatorship), NMSP-AD / Ramanya Mon Army (RMA), was killed while on duty on December 16 due to an accident, according to revolutionary sources.
The incident occurred on the morning of December 16 in Yebyu Township while the unit was conducting a checkpoint inspection. A vehicle transporting fish reportedly struck Major Moe Kyoe, causing him to suffer severe injuries.

He was rushed to a nearby clinic for emergency treatment. However, due to the seriousness of his injuries, arrangements were made to transfer him to another medical facility. During the transfer, he died at around 9 a.m. near Ah Lel Sa Khan village, according to a close comrade.
“On the morning of December 16, they were carrying out a road inspection near Ah Lel Sa Khan village when a fish-selling vehicle hit him,” a fellow resistance member close to Major Moe Kyoe said.
Major Moe Kyoe was an active member of the NMSP-AD (RMA), taking part in armed resistance against military dictatorship and fighting for ethnic rights.
Following his death, several resistance groups, including People’s Defense Force Tactical Unit 33, the Special Regional Military Command, and the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), issued condolence statements expressing sympathy to his family and honoring his sacrifice in the revolutionary struggle.
