In Myeik–Dawei District, Kasedo Township, the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) has captured four Junta Commission soldiers who were traveling from Dawei, the Karen National Union (KNU) announced.

The capture occurred at around 7:15 a.m. on September 2, near Wakone village in Kasedo Township. The detainees were members of Infantry Battalion (IB-282) based in Dawei and were seized by KNLA Brigade 4, Battalion 12, Company 4.
According to the KNU, four MA-1 rifles, 1,030 rounds of ammunition, and 16 magazines were also confiscated from the soldiers.
The KNU stated that the four Junta Commission soldiers are being held in accordance with the KNLA’s military code of conduct and are under proper custody and care.
