The Mon National Liberation Army–Anti-Dictatorship (MNLA-AD) and the Mon Liberation Army (MLA) have united as the Ramonmya Mon Army (RMA) and formed a political and military alliance with the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) welcomed and praised the formation.
On May 24, NMSP-AD and MLA announced the formation of the “Ramonmya Mon Army (RMA)” and revealed their alliance with the TNLA, aiming to cooperate politically and militarily moving forward.

According to statements from the Mon organisations, the purpose of this collaboration is to work together to resist oppression and establish a free and federal state alongside the TNLA.
The United Wa State Army and TNLA also emphasised unity and collaboration among Mon armed groups and political entities to resist dictatorship, gain self-determination, and achieve the Mon national liberation through collective military and political action.
The “Ramonmya Mon Army” said their cooperation with TNLA is part of a broader effort to establish alliances among revolutionary groups working toward federal democracy and national equality and to coordinate their joint military actions.
The MNLA-AD and MLA formed the “Ramonmya Mon Army” as a group to engage in joint operations, coordinate leadership, and collaborate with allies toward Mon national liberation.
“Our goal in the revolutionary struggle is to liberate the Mon nation. Whether in the military or political field, whether as youth, women, or leaders, everyone must take part. Unity is essential, and this alliance is part of that path,” said an official from the MLA Central Committee.
The “Ramonmya Mon Army” is governed by a central committee consisting of nine members, including a Chairperson- Nai Joor Yha, Vice Chairperson- Nai Lyah Gakao, and General Secretary- Nai Banyae Lal.
The military wing of the “Ramonmya Mon Army” is led by a seven-member command team, headed by a Chief of Staff- Capt. Jalom Htaw, with Deputy Chiefs of Staff (Administration- one): Capt. Soe Win and Deputy Chiefs of Staff (Administration- two): Capt. Gyi Zan.
The alliance emphasised that its collaboration with other revolutionary groups is aimed at building a federal democratic nation through both military resistance and political engagement.
