The death toll from the recent earthquake has reached 3,600 as of April 7, according to a statement released by the military junta. Another 5,017 people were reported injured, and 160 remain missing.

The powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck on March 28, affecting several regions including Mandalay, Sagaing, Naypyidaw, Bago, Magway, and Shan State. Widespread destruction and casualties were reported across these areas.
Hundreds of individuals are still believed to be trapped under collapsed buildings, and search and rescue operations are ongoing. However, authorities noted that some affected locations remain inaccessible for rescue teams.
Officials stated that 338 men and 315 women have been rescued alive from the rubble so far.
Fire service teams and thousands of rescue workers from over 20 countries continue to assist in ongoing search and recovery efforts in the disaster-hit areas.
