A powerful earthquake that struck Myanmar on the afternoon of March 29 caused significant damage to pagodas and residential buildings across multiple townships in the Ta’ang region, according to a statement released by the News and Information Department of the PSLF/TNLA on the same day.
The affected areas include Namhkam, Mogok, Kutkai, Hsipaw, Kyaukme, Namtu, Namhsan, and Mantong. The extent of the damage is still being assessed, and local authorities are working to provide assistance to affected communities.
