Mon University Students Network (MUSN) to Support Mon Youth Pursuing Education in Thailand

-

The Mon University Students Network (MUSN—Thailand) will assist Mon students studying at universities in Thailand, aiming to support their academic needs.

To facilitate educational support initiatives, the Mon University Students Network (MUSN) held a discussion session on March 23 at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. Approximately 50 students attended the event, both in person and online.

A member of the Mon Youth stated that through the Mon University Students Network (MUSN), Mon students in Thailand will strengthen their collaboration not only in education but also in social affairs. This initiative seeks to enhance individual educational development through academic exchanges and mutual support.

“Currently, Mon students in Thailand are actively fostering stronger connections with one another, with schools, and on an individual level to expand this network. We are also committed to supporting incoming students and will continue to progress step by step,” said a Mon Youth representative.

In addition to expanding educational opportunities for Mon youth currently studying at universities in Thailand, efforts will be made to provide comprehensive support to those planning to pursue higher education. This support will include assistance with school selection, application preparation, and admission-related matters, according to a member of the Mon University Students Network (MUSN).

“We are currently establishing the processes we need to follow. For example, once a student enrolls in a university, we will guide them on how to prepare and what steps to take. We will also advise them on the most suitable scholarships, making the process easier for them,” said a Mon University Students Network leader.

The Mon University Students Network (MUSN) was established in 2023 by Mon youth from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai University.

However, due to challenges related to academic demands and time constraints, the network was temporarily suspended. It has now been reported that in 2025, the network is being restructured to conduct more effective organizational activities.
