The Ramanya Joint Forces announced plans to escalate military operations across Mon regions following Mon National Day.

According to officials from the alliance, combat operations were temporarily halted during the Mon National Day period but will soon resume.
“Out of respect for Mon National Day, we temporarily paused military activities. The decision was made during meetings held in the days leading up to the event. Now that the period has passed, we are preparing to resume operations. However, the specifics of our plans remain classified,” said Dr. Thiri Mon Chan, spokesperson for the Ramanya Joint Forces.
The Ramanya Joint Forces were officially formed on January 17 by four major Mon revolutionary groups: the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), the New Mon State Party (NMSP-AD), the Mon Liberation Army (MLA), and the Mon State Defense Force (MSDF). Their objective is to establish a unified Mon armed force.
Nai Marga, Deputy spokesperson for the alliance, reaffirmed that military activities in Mon regions have not ceased but are undergoing strategic preparations.
“Our operations have not stopped. This is a military matter, so we cannot disclose details, but we want to make it clear that we are actively preparing for what comes next,” Nai Marga stated.
In addition to the four founding groups, the Ramanya Joint Forces are seeking alliances with other Mon armed groups to strengthen their operations across the region.
In recent days, the Mon State-based revolutionary organization (MSRO) and the Gallon Column have fully aligned with the MLA, one of the key groups within the Ramanya Joint Forces, to expand both political and military initiatives in Mon regions.
