At around 11:30 AM, the junta targeted Thay Bae Hta base, the headquarters of Brigade 7, using four kamikaze drones. The attack caused injuries to some individuals and damaged several buildings.
Local residents near the KNU headquarters were reportedly alarmed by the drone strikes, with some fleeing to safer areas in fear of further attacks.
Since the military coup, the junta’s forces have clashed with resistance groups, including the KNU, KNLA, and KNDO, across much of KNU-controlled Kawthoolei territory. However, until now, Brigade 7’s region had not experienced direct conflict.
This marks the first drone attack by the Military Junta in Brigade 7’s territory.
