Flooding Disrupts Travel on Mudon-Three Pagoda Pass Road

-

Sections of the road connecting Mudon in Mon State to Three Pagoda Pass in Karen State have been submerged, making travel difficult, according to drivers.

Continuous heavy rainfall over recent days in Mon and Karen States has caused rivers and streams to overflow, leading to flooding and waterlogged roads.

“The continuous rain has damaged the roads. Now, all the roads are flooded, making travel very challenging,” said one driver.

Persistent rain has caused the Winyaw and Zami rivers to overflow, flooding low-lying areas and neighborhoods near rivers and streams.

Currently, many townships in Mon and Karen States are experiencing significant flooding.
