NMSP Vice-Chair Nai Aung Min and Party Arrive in Naypyidaw for Peace Talks

A delegation led by New Mon State Party (NMSP) Vice-Chair Nai Aung Min, arrived in Naypyidaw  this afternoon at the invitation of the State Administrative Council (SAC) Chair,  Senior General Min Aung Hlaing for peace talks.

The NMSP delegation included Nai Win Hla, Joint Secretary, and members of the Central Executive Committee, Nai Byan Le (Head of Internal Affairs) and Nai Aung Min (Head of the Central Political Department).

On May 23, the SAC Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, will meet with the NMSP to discuss the end of the armed conflict, according to Gen. Zaw Min Tun, Head of the SAC’s press team.

The NMSP delegation was welcomed at Horizon Lake View Resort in Nay Pyi Taw by members of the National Unity and Peace Coordination Committee and officials from the Department of Culture.

On 22 April, with the aim of achieving peace in the country and ending the armed conflict, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said, “We invite the leaders of the ethnic armed groups to meet. I will see all the groups in person. Then we will have discussions with the members of the State Administration Council. Further discussions will be held if necessary. The meeting was attended by the leaders of the various ethnic armed groups and two members .”
