The National Enlightenment Institute NEI-Myanmar held a launch ceremony for their new book titled Mon State Statistics (2020). The event was held at the Hotel KS in Mawlamyine on 18 January at 11 am.
Mon State Statistical Data (2020) is presented in five chapters:
Chapter-1 Details extraordinary events throughout the history of Mon State.
Chapter-2 Provides geographical information.
Chapter-3 Outlines the Mon State administrative and legislative environment.
Chapter-4 Contains detailed economic information.
chapter-5 Presents social information of the State.
NEI Program Manager said, “the purpose for all of this is for us to have the book published. We want the public to know that business people can use it. That’s why this book is being published. This book has a lot of statistics. Statistics are very important. We can compare and contrast. You can take time to think.”
He added that it is NEI’s hope that business operators will be able to use the information to advance their businesses and to help society.
The book launch was attended by business associations from across Mon State, individual companies, business people, INGOs, NGOs, CSOs, as well as researchers and economists from teaching centres. The event attracted 75 participants.
