“Many CBO, CSO, NGO are coming to carry out development work. At the time when the COVID 19 virus is spreading rapidly, [we do not want to allow public trainings, which is a risk of transmission]” said Nai Banyar Lel, chairman of NMSP’s Covid 19 Control and Emergency Response Committee Center.

However, he said permission would be allowed for the delivery of health services related to Covid-19 control.

“And we are not the only ones in our control area. People from other towns and villages also have a lot of gardening and farming activities in our area. If they have the recommendation of the relevant administration that they are not from an area where the disease is endemic, we allow them to cross the road.” said Nai Banyar Lel.

No more than five people are permitted in a car and only two people are allowed to ride a motorcycle in the area of NMSP.

These new rules are being implemented in Japan Well village in the Three Pagodas Pass, Kyainseikgyi Township, and Kawkareik Township.
